This was literally 5 steps from where we were staying, so we had seen how popular it had been the previous night. Booking is essential even on a Monday night. We were seated inside, which gave us space but not the street buzz. The staff were very keen to make you feel welcomed, especially Eloise. We took the 35 euro 3 course deal & every course was something interesting & and delicious, & particularly the sea bass & duck breast dishes. We enjoyed a white from Chinon. It was very reasonably priced for the quality.
If you are in Tours for work or for leisure, be sure to stop by at Dagobert! Excellent french bistro with fine food and local wines, the atmosphere is simply superb. They have an hand-written menu even in English. Prices very reasonable, especially considering the high quality!
The food was good but the tuna tataki was overcooked. We left very full. The 3 course menu was €35. They had a menu in English. Friendly service.
We got the combos, everything was good. Not the busiest street so it’s more quiet. Nice interior too.
superb dinner! everything we had was great (two baked camembert as starters; lamb shank and scallops as main; chocolate fondant and cheese platter as dessert). served in a quirky bistro by excellent staff, very friendly and attentive. and at 32€ each, that was extremely good value too. highly recommended!
Great place. Tours has a very large choice of restaurants. I'd suggest you go here for some great bistro dishes. Excellent service, atmosphere and food. The foie was amazing! As was everything else 😀 …
Lovely restaurant, great service, great food. Very accommodating to my very minimal french, and to my gluten-free situation. We'll happily come back next time we're in Tours.
Dagobert - not sure where the name comes from, but it made me think of a cartoon... The place lives on the good quality of its food. We were there for dinner. Both indoor and outdoor seating with quality food - good sized portions. While the outdoor looks onto a closed shop with lots of posters, it's a lively street.
